As was Paragon.įor Paragon players like myself, it was tough to see the game being shelved. Paragon team members were pulled off the project to help with the huge influx of Fortnite players, and the rest is history. Then came Fortnite, Epic’s cash-cow which they happened upon by making a battle royale mode for the floundering PvE game. Smaller map quicker games which nobody wanted characters not being tweaked for balance. He was on the right track and then it was all changed for the worse. Well - they lost direction when Epic’s Steve Superville left the company. Paragon’s development was troubling for Epic and they never quite knew which direction to take it. It offered something quite special with its excellent character design, visuals, verticality, and enthralling gameplay.

I was never a fan of MOBAs despite Tim here at PC Invasion trying to get me over to Dota 2. I only got about 6 hours of gameplay, but this game has me absolutely hyped. The pace of the game felt much quicker than the other two and the minion AI was my favorite by far. Many people had issues with the low time to kill, but I was comfortable with that as a league of legends of player. Predecessor definitely felt the smoothest and most optimized out of the three so far. Predecessor is currently unplayable, but hosts Alpha tests every few months or so. Predecessor arguably has the largest amount of hype (and funding by what I’ve read). No solid date has been given except SoonTM, so keep a look out for the steam update!
